Trampolining is a competitive sport in which athletes perform acrobatics while bouncing on a trampoline. Athletes perform skills on both a standard trampoline and a double mini trampoline. They perform simple jumps in the straight, pike, tuck and split pike positions as well as complex combinations of forward and backwards somersaults and twists.
Trampolining promotes body, aerial and spatial awareness as the gymnasts’ progress through their skills, as well as developing their co-ordination, posture and agility. The sky is the limit when it comes to bouncing on a trampoline!
